2. Does the facility have dual diagnosis capabilities? It’s a fact that individuals with addictions are more likely to suffer from other psychological disorders such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, etc. Often times these other conditions are undiagnosed. Unless these co-occurring (aka dual diagnosis) disorders are addressed, it’s hard to recover without eventually relapsing. 3. Where is the facility located? Location is an important factor in recovering from a drug or alcohol addiction. If you can find a treatment facility that’s near a recreational area like beaches, parks, etc. where excercise and outdoor activities can be held it’s more likely that you’ll be able to relax and have a good time there as well.
